We started in Porto Moniz, climbed up to the Pico Caldeirão and went down to explore Ribeira da Janera rocks. Afterwards, through Vereda da Ribeira da Janela (PR15) we climbed up to see the Fanal forest. Lastly we went down to Seixal via Vereda das Voltas. You can see the whole route on Strava (https://www.strava.com/activities/11534981291). We hiked 26km this day, with an elevation of 1700m up. This video is part of a series documenting a 3-day adventure along the same paths that MIUT (Madeira Island Ultra Trail) goes through. We recorded it between May 30th 2024 and Jun 01st. The story behind is that a year before, Aga run the 115km ultra running event (MIUT), and a year later we came back, to hike this trail again. This time - taking our time, exploring, recording and enjoying those incredible views, This film is not just about the views; it's an invitation to all nature lovers, tourists, and trail runners to discover the raw beauty of Madeira.
